What Does My 18 Year Old Need to Know About the Law?

Your child (or grandchild) is turning 18 and entering the world of grownups.   What an exciting time! For most kids, though, this is also a time of inexperience, nervousness, and the “great unknown.”

One important way you can help your child or grandchild successfully transition to adulthood is through education about the legal realities of being an adult.  Thankfully, the California Bar Association makes this easy with its publication:  When You Turn 18 – A Survival Guide for Teenagers [California Bar Assn]

This is a wonderful resource and a very quick read!  It comes in newspaper format or you can get it in pdf.  A single copy is free of charge.  To get yours, just follow the link and send an email request as instructed.
